A passionate English educator of over a decade, I’ve taught everything from Creative Writing to AP English to Introduction to Composition at the college level. As a former English Department Chair, I provided instructional coaching to fellow teachers, helping them grow into more effective educators. I received my Masters in English Education at Columbia University, and have two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Comparative Literature and one in Spanish Language. I speak Spanish and have extensive experience working with students learning English as a second language. In 2016, I developed a curriculum for writing college admissions essays, and have since guided hundreds of students through the process.
I love working with students in a one-on-one setting. To me, it’s a rich opportunity not for personal growth as well as academic. Helping students feel confident and empowered about their education is the most important work that I do.
